While Calgarians can usually rely on a forecast full of sunshine on any given day throughout the year (we are the sunniest city in Canada, after all) this upcoming week appears to be the exception.
With everything from flurries to clouds to rainy days, the forecast for YYC runs Mother Nature’s gauntlet, all culminating in a warm, yet wet, weekend.
- You can now take a Bob Ross painting class in Calgary
- Notley gaining ground on UCP according to recent polls
- Young people significantly underrepresented in Canada's governments
The entire seven-day forecast — courtesy of Environment Canada — starts off with the smallest chance of showers on Monday and Tuesday (we’re talking a 30% chance, here), and a 60% chance of rain or flurries on Monday night.
Thursday comes in cloudy, though the sunshine will begin to peek through on Friday and be out in full force on Saturday.
The temperature reaches its zenith on Sunday at 14°C, though the second day of the weekend also marks what could very well be the rainiest, with a 60% chance of showers all day and throughout the night.
Monday will cool off to 10°C and continues on with that 60% chance of rainfall.
We think we speak for most, if not all, of Calgary when we say that we’re just glad it’s not another snowstorm… *Knock on wood*
