CPS investigating the alleged sexual assault of 17-year-old girl

The Calgary Police Service wants to know if you’ve seen this man.

According to a CPS release, the man in the photo above is the suspect of an alleged sexual assault of a 17-year-old girl.

The incident allegedly occurred in the community of Hillhurst at around 9 pm on Monday, September 2, as the girl was exiting the 8th Street CTrain station.

The release states that the girl and the suspect “had a brief conversation,” shortly after she exited the station.

As the girl started walking to Kensington, the release states, it is believed by police that the man followed her, engaged in another conversation, and sexually assaulted her.

The suspect is described in the release as “having light-brown skin, with black hair and a moustache. He spoke with a Hispanic accent and was wearing tan pants and brown shoes.”

A witness who spoke to the suspect has been located by the Calgary Police Service after coming forward in the days following the alleged incident, though the investigation is still ongoing and the identity of the suspect is still being saught.
