Calgary Police Service identify victim of fatal Sunalta shooting

Police have identified the man who was shot and killed in Calgary early Thursday morning.

A release from the Calgary Police Service details specifics about the fatal Sunalta shooting that took the life of a 28-year-old Calgary man at around 1:15 am on Thursday.

According to the release, 28-year-old Jovaughan Meek had been found in medical distress in his vehicle on the 1500 block of 16th Avenue SW by emergency responders, and was taken to hospital where he would be pronounced deceased.

As the investigation is ongoing, the CPS release states that no further details are currently available.
