Calgary Police Service identifies victim of Saddleridge shooting

The Calgary Police Service has identified one of the victims of the shooting in Saddleridge on Saturday.

According to a CPS release, 38-year-old Gurinder Pal Singh was shot dead at around 7:30 pm on the 200 block of Saddlecrest Boulevard NE on January 4.

Another man was taken to hospital, but Singh was reportedly found dead at the scene.

The injured man is now in stable condition, according to the release, but remains in hospital.

Police provided an investigation update on Wednesday, stating that the CPS Homicide Unit has located a suspicious vehicle that they believe had been connected to Saturday’s shooting.

The vehicle is a black 2018 Nissan Rogue, which was reported stolen in Calgary prior to the shooting.

Anyone who may have seen the vehicle on Saturday night, or who may have seen occupants of the vehicle filling a gas can at a gas station, are asked to contact the Calgary Police Service at 403-266-1234.
