Man dead after late night targeted shooting in Montgomery

Police are investigating after a late-night shooting that left one man dead.

According to a statement from the Calgary Police Service (CPS), the incident occurred on Thursday night at 10 pm. Officers received a call of shots being fired in the area of 16 Avenue and Home Road NW.

Upon arriving at the scene, police found one deceased male. An investigation began last night and a number of road closures were implemented.

The CPS is calling the incident a targeted event.
