It’s National Adoption Weekend in Canada, and PetSmarts across the country are hoping to find homes for their furry friends.
Calgary’s own Chinook PetSmart will be taking part, with the hope of seeing at least 30 animals adopted into forever homes by the end of the weekend-long event.

Would-be adopters can head over to the store between February 28 and March 1 to see all the animals looking for new owners, and the Animal Rescue Foundation of Alberta will be on scene between 1 to 3 pm on Saturday to help educate attendees on what it means to be a pet owner.
Those who don’t adopt can still help out the cause by dropping off any in-kind donations at the PetSmart located at 7-321 61st Avenue SW.
Anyone who does adopt is encouraged to share their story at the Facebook Adopters Group or by using the hashtag #iadopted.

Time: 9 am to 9 pm Friday and Saturday, 10 am to 7 pm on Sunday. ARF will be on scene 1 to 3 pm on Saturday.
