McDonald’s Canada has announced that an employee at one of their Calgary locations has tested positive for COVID-19.

On Saturday, August 15, a McDonald’s employee from its 8235 Bowridge Crescent NW location reported that they tested positive for coronavirus.

The employee’s last shift was on August 12, from 9 am to 3 pm. All staff who may have been in close contact with the employee have been asked to self-quarantine until further information is available.

This location has now been shut down for thorough cleaning and sanitation by a third party.

“Maintaining the health and well-being of our crew and guests is our top priority, and we will continue to monitor and adapt measures, where necessary,” the company said in a release. “We continue to work with Alberta Health Services to support our people and our guests, and look forward to getting back to serving our community as soon as we can.”

McDonald’s Canada is asking for any customers who have questions to take direction from experts at Alberta Health Services.
