Calgary International Airport introduces canine companion program

Dec 19 2017, 11:20 am

You’ll be seeing a few new furry friends at the Calgary International Airport during peak travel times.

YYC announced a new program featuring canine companions to enhance the passenger experience. In partnership with Pet Access League Society (PALS), the Pre-Board Pals program allows interaction between dogs and the millions of visitors that come through YYC each year.

From Thursday to Saturday at YYC, guests will be greeted by four canines and their volunteer sidekicks in hopes to spread a little cheer and ease anxiety for some travelers.

“We have an incredible team of dogs, and handlers, that the passengers at Calgary International Airport are absolutely going to love.” said Diana Segboer, Executive Director for PALS. “Our teams look forward to sharing the power of puppy love at YYC.”
