Alberta ushered in the start of fall this week, and a bit of a weather roller coaster is on the way for Calgary with some cool overnight temperatures.
Looking at the Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) forecast, it seems like we are really digging into the classic warm days and cool nights that early fall typically brings to YYC. It wouldn’t be autumn in Calgary without it feeling like a weather roller coaster!
Calgary is forecast to hit a high of 27°C today before a dip down to a high of 17°C tomorrow, with an overnight low of 5°C on Wednesday night.
Finishing up the work week and heading into the weekend, daytime highs will bop up and down, with a high of 25°C on Thursday before dipping to 19°C on Friday, and then rising again to a high of 25°C on Saturday.
When you do the math between the daytime high of 27°C today and tomorrow’s overnight low, it’s a temperature change of 22 degrees.
It’s not all doom and gloom, though. Temperatures are still well above average as we hit the end of the weekend and stroll into a new work week, with Sunday and Monday looking at a high of 23°C.
