
The Thanksgiving long weekend is just around the corner, and the forecast is calling for a significant drop in temperatures.
According to the Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) forecast, the weather in Calgary is above average for today, Oct. 7; however, the thermometer takes a dip starting tomorrow.
Calgary is forecast to reach a sunny high of 23°C today, with an overnight low of 4°C. Temperatures dip on Wednesday and Thursday before a slight recovery on Friday with a daytime high of 16°C.
Looking at the Thanksgiving long weekend, Calgary gets downright chilly with plenty of cloud cover, and Sunday is set to see a daytime high of just 2°C and a 40 per cent chance of flurries or rain showers, before dipping down to -5°C overnight.
When you do the math between today’s daytime high and the low on Sunday, it’s a temperature change of 28 degrees. It’s almost time to start booking your seasonal winter tire change!
