For the second straight season, Calgary Flames fans will have to adjust to not having all 82 regular-season games available on Sportsnet.
Prime Video began airing NHL games last season following Amazon’s purchase of broadcast rights from Sportsnet, resulting in a number of Flames games being available via stream only for the first time.
Prime Monday Night Hockey is returning to the NHL for the 2025-26 season, though Flames fans who don’t enjoy having to stream the games don’t need to fret all too much.
This season will see just two Flames games on Prime in 2025-26. The first will be on March 16 versus the Detroit Red Wings, while the second and final will come two weeks later on March 30 in a clash against the Colorado Avalanche.

26 games will stream on Prime Monday Night Hockey in 2025-26 (Prime)
The Flames received the least amount of Prime Video games among all Canadian teams for the upcoming season. Here’s a look at how many each team is subject to play:
- Toronto Maple Leafs: Six
- Ottawa Senators: Six
- Vancouver Canucks: Four
- Montreal Canadiens: Four
- Winnipeg Jets: Four
- Edmonton Oilers: Three
- Calgary Flames: Two
Prime Video will continue to broadcast at least one NHL game every Monday night, available across all of Canada, for no additional charge to Prime members. Those without an account can test Prime’s free 30-day trial, with a cost of $9.99 plus tax once the trial expires.
This means that for the other 80 games of the season, the Flames will be on Sportsnet broadcasts. That will give fans plenty of opportunity to listen to play-by-play announcer Jon Abbott, who did a fantastic job last season after taking over from a fan favourite in Rick Ball.
