The Calgary Flames have gotten three more RFA signings out of the way on Thursday morning.

Though the biggest remaining RFA of the bunch, Connor Zary, still remains without a contract, the Flames were able to lock up three of their prospects: forward Rory Kerins and defencemen Yan Kuznetsov and Jeremie Poirier.

Kerins is coming off an outstanding season in which he was able to score a team-leading 33 goals with the Calgary Wranglers. He also suited up for five NHL games, logging four assists. The 23-year-old, who has an opportunity to earn a roster spot with the Flames, agreed to a one-year, two-way deal with an AAV of $775,000.

Kuznetsov, who was selected in the second round of the 2020 draft, is coming off a season in which he had 21 points in 72 games with the Wranglers. The 6-foot-4 defenceman signed a two-year deal (the second year of which is a one-way contract) with an AAV of $812,500.

Last but not least is Poirier, who has lost his way a little bit on the prospect depth chart with blue liners such as Zayne Parekh and Hunter Brzustewicz coming into the fold. Nonetheless, the 23-year-old agreed to a one-year, two-way deal with an AAV of $775,000.

The Flames have been able to get several other RFAs locked in as well, including Matt Coronato, Morgan Frost, Adam Klapka, and Kevin Bahl. As for Zary, it is believed they are looking at a bridge deal as opposed to the long-term extension they handed Coronato.
