The reason for this being the final season at the Saddledome is that Scotia Place is getting closer and closer to being game-ready. The new Flames arena, located right beside the Saddledome, is set to be ready to go for the 2027-28 season. Once complete, the Saddledome is expected to be torn down a short time later.
