Here's when Calgary Flames will play final game at the Saddledome

Saturday, April 10, will be a moment that many Calgary Flames fans will be looking to buy tickets to get into the Saddledome.

The NHL released its entire schedule for the 2026-27 season. As we learned on Wednesday, the Flames’ home opener is set for Thursday, Oct. 1, versus the Seattle Kraken. It will mark the last-ever home opener at the Saddledome.

Now, with the full schedule release, we’ve also learned that the Flames’ last-ever game at the Saddledome will be on Saturday, April 10. The outing, which will get underway at 8 p.m. MT, will be played against the Vancouver Canucks.

Flames fans will also have four additional games against their provincial rival, the Edmonton Oilers, to mark down on the calendar. They play out as follows:

As many fans already know, this season will be different than years past, as the NHL has made the decision to go to an 84-game schedule. As a result, the season is set to begin earlier, with the regular season getting underway on Sept. 29. Here is how the schedule will play out for all 32 teams as per a press release from the League.

The reason for this being the final season at the Saddledome is that Scotia Place is getting closer and closer to being game-ready. The new Flames arena, located right beside the Saddledome, is set to be ready to go for the 2027-28 season. Once complete, the Saddledome is expected to be torn down a short time later.
