26 things to do in Calgary this week: April 9 to 15

With spring well on its way (we hope) there are a ton of exciting events happening throughout the city to celebrate the season.

Try a new DIY class, hit up one of the many festivals, and learn some of the season’s best beauty trends. This week is all about the prep work to get ready for the hot summer months. It’s also a great week to consider getting a head start on that always dreaded spring clean!

Happy Mondays

Orcas (Centre for Whale Research)

Excite your senses with this unique cultural experience that will show you everything you need to know about the king of the ocean; the whale. The exhibit shows everything from life-size whale skeletons to the evolution of these creatures and understanding how they communicate. There is so much to know about these beautiful beings.

Frida Kahlo: Her Photos

  • What: Get inspired as you stroll through beautiful photographs taken by the famous and fascinating Frida Kahlo.
