What: The media mogul is embarking on a multi-city Canadian tour, where she’ll be sharing her key lessons and the personal stories that helped set the course for her best life. Titled Oprah Winfrey Presents: Your Path Made Clear (Discovering Your Life’s Direction and Purpose), the tour features Winfrey speaking about the moments throughout her life that helped direct her on her path before being joined on stage by a special guest who impacted her journey for a unique one on one conversation.

Sled Island Music and Arts Festival 2019

What: The Sled Island Music and Arts Festival will be back in Calgary and features over 250 amazing bands and performers. The festival spans multiple venues throughout the city, and live music events will be accompanied by comedy, film, and art showings during the five-day bash.

When: Wednesday, June 19 to Sunday, June 23, 2018
Time: A full schedule will be released closer to the date of the festival

Asparagus Festival at Edgar Farms

What: Visit this real working asparagus farm, experience their story firsthand, enjoy a fully narrated wagon ride, watch the harvest in action, and even get the opportunity to pick some asparagus for yourselves. You’ll also have the opportunity to shop their Country Store and the artisan market village while saying hello to all the farm animals and joining in on the many festivities happening throughout the day — rain or shine.

Vantage Drinks Mixer: Issue 8

What: A night of art, cocktails, and competition featuring four local bartenders. Vantage Magazine will be featuring four Calgary establishments in Issue 8, and showcasing their amazing work at the event also: Confluence Distilling, The Derrick / Untitled, Proof, and Yardarm.

Urban Exposure Project

What: Join United Way and Gen Next to celebrate the culmination of this year’s Urban Exposure Project (UEP). The Urban Exposure Project is an annual photography program that invites participants to learn about social issues impacting our city, while learning how to tell stories through photography. Enjoy exploring the city through the lens of participants and browse the marketplace, where local vendors will be contributing 10% of all proceeds to United Way of Calgary and Area. Tickets include appetizers and admission to the exhibit and marketplace.
