What: New Japanese-style restaurant NUPO is officially opening this Wednesday, just a few days before the opening of the space’s hidden second concept, EIGHT.

Located in Calgary’s East Village at 631 Confluence Way SE (Alt Hotel), NUPO promises diners an array of plant-forward creations alongside dry-aged sushi.

Ice Magic Festival Banff 2020

What: Running 12 days from January 15 to 26, the Ice Magic Festival hosts teams in a competition to create the most stunningly shiny work of frozen art.

Tickets are required to visit the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise lakeside Competition Carving Site during peak periods. Ice Magic is free to attend from Monday to Friday, and on weekends before 10 am or after 5:30 pm.
