What: Celebrate Kiwanis Apple Festival with apple baking and tasting, family activities, live entertainment, silent auction, farmers market and more.

YYC Pizza Week

What: A 10-day annual event featuring participating restaurants creating an original pizza to see whose is the best. Partial proceeds from all pizza goes to Calgary Meals on Wheels.  More than 40 restaurants and the community have raised over $42,000 in the past five years.

Banff Gondola

What: Head to the summit for an unreal view above the treetops and a birds-eye view of six different mountain ranges, while sipping on coffee or a refreshing glass of wine. Start with a walk along the Sulphur Mountain Boardwalk to learn more about Canada’s first national park, or go indoors to sample from three restaurant menus. Then get hands-on in the world-class interpretive centre and theatre.

Fall at Calgary Farmyard

What: There are many events to enjoy this fall at Calgary Farmyard, including an 11 acre corn maze, petting zoo, playground, and more. Plus there are Flashlight Nights in the Maze every Friday and Saturday starting September 20, and a Pumpkin Festival every Saturday and Sunday starting October 5.

Beakerhead

The celebration also features engineered art, concerts, performances, hands-on workshops, bizarre vehicles, and spontaneous acts of science and technology. Another highlight is The Spectacle happening on September 21 at Prince’s Island Park.

Lions Club of Bearspaw Farmers’ Market

What: Check out over 120 vendors at Lions Club of Bearspaw Farmers’ Market. During the market, a caterer inside the Lions Hall provides breakfast and brunch/lunch from about 9 am to 2 pm.  Several of the outside food vendors also sell food you can eat at the market.
