La Poutine Week 2019

What: La Poutine Week kicks off all across Canada for the seventh time, and we can taste the squeaky cheese curd-goodness already. In the past, the annual week-long celebration of fries, curds, and gravy has seen hundreds of participating restaurants dish out original takes on the iconic Quebecois dish. The fest takes place during the first week of February for the dining public to eat and vote on their favourites before a winner is announced at the end of the week.

Canmore Winter Carnival

What: Winter in the Rocky Mountains is truly magical and the Town of Canmore invites you to come celebrate this beautiful season with them. For two weeks there will be a variety of snowy, family-friendly indoor and outdoor events happening throughout the town, such as Ice Carving Competitions, Log Sawing Competitions, a pooch parade, Snowy Owl Kid n Mutt Races and more.

Lunar New Year Festival 2019

Queer Art Night

What: Run through the Calgary School of Informal Education, Queer Art Night with Selina is an inclusive evening once a month for anyone who identifies as queer to make art. It is a drop in event where you can make friends and be creative in a safe environment. Materials will be supplied for different projects each month, though the projects don’t have to be followed. Open to anyone, allies welcome.
