Fall at Calgary Farmyard

What: There are many events to enjoy this fall at Calgary Farmyard, including an 11-acre corn maze, petting zoo, playground, and more. Plus there are Flashlight Nights in the Maze every Friday and Saturday starting September 20, and a Pumpkin Festival every Saturday and Sunday starting October 5.

The Prairie Girls Vintage Market

Calgary Produce Marketing Association Fall Harvest Sale

What: The Calgary Produce Marketing Association’s annual Fall Harvest Sale is a two-day charitable event that raises money for the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation, Community Kitchen Program, and the Heritage Park Society. Purchase healthy food, discover the benefits of eating fresh fruit and vegetables, and support the local community. Carry-out service is available for a small fee, which is donated to a local charity.

What: Every night until September 7, the Southern-style pop-up will host two sets of country singers who will perform in songwriter circle sessions. Artists slated to perform include Desiree Dorian, Drew Gregory, and Sons of Daughters, according to the pop-up’s event page.

If you get hungry while listening to these music performances, audience members can order from the menu, which includes a fried Empire Provisions bologna sandwich, a fried chicken sandwich with Kool-Aid pickles, and a Goo Goo Cluster pie — a mix of marshmallow nougat, milk chocolate, caramel, and peanuts.
