Queer Community Dance Classes

What: Raymond Johnson-Brown will be teaching Queer Friendly x All Ages x Free Queer Community Dance Classes every Monday at Decidedly Jazz Danceworks until June 24. This class will be an open level all styles choreography class. The choreography based style of dance will blend together elements of Hip Hop, Vogue, Waacking, Burlesque, and Jazz.

Yoga for Cyclists

What: Fiona Mulvenna – Liv Ambassador and Certified Yoga Alliance Canada 200 Hour Yoga Instructor – leads a Yin Yang yoga session geared towards cyclists at Ridley’s Cycle in Kensington. This class will involve longer holds and is suitable for all levels, although some prior yoga experience is recommended. The class is $10 and all proceeds will go to the Moose Mountain Bike Trail Society for their new flow/jump trail.

Sled Island Music and Arts Festival 2019

What: The Sled Island Music and Arts Festival will be back in Calgary and features over 250 amazing bands and performers. The festival spans multiple venues throughout the city, and live music events will be accompanied by comedy, film, and art showings during the five-day bash.

Asparagus Festival at Edgar Farms

Urban Exposure Project

What: Join United Way and Gen Next to celebrate the culmination of this year’s Urban Exposure Project (UEP). The Urban Exposure Project is an annual photography program that invites participants to learn about social issues impacting our city, while learning how to tell stories through photography.
