Rotary Park and Bella White

What: Rotary Park is back in Calgary with the full line up for one night only at Ironwood Stage and Grill. Toronto based guitarist Jason Jones will be joining the crew on bender. Bella White will be opening up the night with her hot string band.

Heritage Park Summer Season

What: Enjoy a different experience every day at Calgary’s Heritage Park Historical Village. Take a tour back in time on a horse-drawn wagon ride, play traditional Aboriginal games in the First Nations’ Encampment and pick up a freshly baked cheese bun from the Alberta Bakery. Plus S.S. Moyie Paddlewheeler will once again sail the Glenmore Reservoir this summer, which means the return of the much-loved Captain’s Cruises.

Expressions featuring Krystyna Lenek

What: A spoken word night at Koi hosted by Expressions. Featuring Krystyna Lenek, a local writer who explores mental health, sexuality and identity through her poetry and prose. She was awarded first place in April’s Poetry Battles, a month-long competition in search of the most innovative poet. Co-hosted by Selina Clary & Cobra Collins.

What: Calgary Parks presents Calgary Fire Week in the Park. Connect with local firefighters and learn important tips on how to prevent fires and stay safe. Fun giveaways for kids available while quantities last.

Shakespeare by the Bow – A Midsummer Night’s Dream

What: This summer, come together with the Calgary community to celebrate and support Alberta’s emerging artists in a gorgeous natural setting. One of Shakespeare’s most popular works, A Midsummer Night’s Dream follows four young lovers and a group of six amateur actors through the forest as they are influenced and manipulated by a band of forest-dwelling fairies. Sunnyside Open Stage

Archaeology in the Park: Finding the Pioneers

What: Calgary’s Euro-Canadian history dates back 142 years to where Fish Creek flows into the Bow River, and archaeological evidence discovered in the park offers a unique glimpse of life on the western prairie for pioneers and cowboys. Climb aboard the minibus to learn about archaeology in the park on a scenic tour exploring the creation of our community.

What: An evening filled with incredible artwork and elevated cocktails. Sugar Water Bar, known for serving thoughtfully-crafted cocktails in uncommon spaces, have created a unique cocktail experience inspired by Glenbow’s exhibition Nick Cave: Feat.
