
Calgary is shaping up to be one of the cheapest cities to visit at the end of summer, according to a new report from Skyscanner.
Skyscanner recently released its Smarter Summer Report, highlighting travel trends, pricing patterns, and the cheapest times to book flights for the 2026 summer season. It used information and indicative prices as of March 2026 to collect the data.
For Calgary specifically, it found the cheapest week to travel is Aug. 10 to 16, with Monday being the cheapest day to fly. Average summer flights to the city sit at about $426, while daily car rental averages $97.

Anyone planning a trip this September might want to put Calgary on their radar, as it ranked as the second-cheapest destination to go to in September 2026, with an average flight price of $324. Prince George, B.C., narrowly took the top spot with an average flight price of $315.
Calgary beat out international destinations like Montego Bay, Jamaica, and San Juan, Puerto Rico, which had average flight prices of $450 and $441, respectively.
Flights to YYC were also cheaper than some other popular Canadian cities like Toronto, which had an average flight price of $345 and Vancouver, with an average flight price of $374.
