Someone (probably) in Calgary is currently sitting on a $50 million lottery ticket
If you purchased a LOTTO MAX ticket in Calgary over the past week, you’d better be checking your numbers sooner rather than later.
According to a release from the Western Canada Lottery Corporation (WCLC), one lucky lottery winner has matched all the numbers necessary to take home the $50 million jackpot prize.

The LOTTO MAX Friday draw turned out the numbersĀ 5, 9, 33, 36, 39, 41 and 44 (and bonus number 27), and apparently, a ticket bought somewhere in Calgary matched up perfectly.
The winner has yet to come forward, though WCLC’s release states that they will have exactly one year to the day to claim the prize ā though obviously the sooner the better.
