Throw open those blinds and put on your shortest pair of shorts, Calgary, because summery weather is on its way to YYC.
Environment Canada’s seven-day weather forecast is calling for sky-high temperatures by this Friday, kicking off the Easter long weekend with sunshine and highs of 22°C.

The pool party will not last long, unfortunately, as Saturday and Sunday follow up with bleaker, wetter, and colder days to put a literal damper on our sunny spirits.
In fact, this entire week is a mixed bag of weather woes and climate highs, as Monday and Tuesday start things off with a 30% chance of showers and a few clouds to blemish what would be an otherwise stunning blue sky.
The real fun starts on Wednesday with sunshine and a high of 13°C, and Thursday will be much the same, though bringing the gauge up to 20°C.
Other than Monday night, which will drop to a bone-chilling -4°C (if you’re still wearing those short shorts, that is), the lows throughout the week will remain at or above freezing, while the highs will range anywhere between 9°C (Sunday) and 22°C (Friday).
What we’re really trying to get at here, Calgary, is that you should probably keep a light sweater around until we’re truly into the summer months — because you don’t want to get caught out in an unexpected snowstorm… like last week — yeesh.
