Snow won't last in Calgary with a 22-degree temperature swing forecast

While Calgary got hit with some snow already, the city is set to warm up with a 22-degree temperature swing in the forecast this week.

According to Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC), the weather is set to bring some heat to Calgary with temperatures reaching 17°C over the weekend. 

Before we see that, Monday’s temperatures are set to reach a high of 6°C with periods of light snow and freezing drizzle before dropping to 1°C at night.

Tuesday is a bit chillier with daytime temperatures reaching just 4°C before falling to a freezing -5°C at night, the coldest temperature of the week.

Wednesday warms up a little bit with the daytime high reaching 5°C, while the overnight low drops to -2°C. Tuesday follows with daytime temperatures of 6°C before falling to -3°C overnight.

Friday is when the heat starts to roll in with the daytime temperatures reaching a toasty 15°C. Friday’s overnight low is just 2°C.Ā 

Now if you’re looking to soak in some sun this weekend, Saturday’s daytime high is forecast to hit 17°C, a staggering 22-degree temperature rise from Tuesday’s overnight low of -5°C.

Sunday is set to be a little colder with daytime temperatures reaching just 7°C with a chance of flurries or rain showers. 

According to ECCC, the average high for this time of year in Calgary is 10°C, and the average low is -3°C.
