Buon Giorno Ristorante Italiano has closed after 30+ years of business

Another sad closure for Calgary’s Italian food scene, Buon Giorno Ristorante Italiano has closed its doors for good, the 17th Ave BIA confirmed to Daily Hive.

The 823 17 Avenue SW Calgary eatery was a staple in YYC’s dining scene, and it had been operating since 1987.

The restaurant was known for its relaxing atmosphere, quality Italian eats, and its sunny street-facing patio.

Buon Giorno’s owners posted a sign on its doors saying the restaurant was closed, and they thanked customers for their patronage.
