First Tazza Deli & Grill, now this.

A staple on Calgary’s 17th Avenue says that it is permanently closing up shop at its current location.

Anju, a modern Korean spot know for its sleek interior and comforting grub, shared that despite its best efforts, it would be vacating its space due to reconstruction costs.

The team also shared that it would be actively looking for a new location.

Dear friends, it’s with a heavy heart to share that despite our best efforts, we’re unable to reopen our 17th Avenue location as a result of the building’s water main freeze earlier this month. As we were set to vacate our space today for the building’s reconstruction, the cost of repairs to fix the significant damage could not be justified by our landlord for what would have been a short window of time. We looked at every temporary fix possible so we could invite you to join us for a farewell to this location, but we just weren’t able to make it happen. Perhaps good things are worth waiting for so we’ll just have to leave it at that for now! Stay tuned for announcements about our new location by registering for our newsletter (link in bio) and we’ll make sure you’re the first to hear from us when we have news to share. We love you and thank you for the great memories. Can’t wait to make more with you again soon!

We’ll keep you posted as this story progresses.
