New spot for fresh mochi doughnuts "Amaido" soft opens in Calgary

The day has finally come, Calgary’s new destination for fresh mochi doughnuts has softly opened its doors.

Treat lovers can find Amaido at 105-128 2 Avenue SE, where it opens today at 3 pm until they run out of doughnuts.

The new spot will be offering takeout and grab-and-go only. Flavours up for order include Black Sesame, Cinnamon Sugar, Chocolate, Cookies & Cream, Matcha, and White Rabbit.

You can grab one doughnut for just under three bucks, or get six for $15. Amaido recommends customers eat their treats day-of to ensure they enjoy the freshness of the mochi.

Amaido will also be serving up locally roasted beverages from David Kim Coffee alongside Iced Vietnamese Coffee and Iced Matcha Lattes, to name a few.

For now, orders can be made at the shop’s door and purchased via contactless payment.
