Alberta's first tornado of the year captured on camera (VIDEO)

It may only be April but it looks like the summer storm season is already upon us after Environment Canada confirmed the first tornado of the season.

The tornado formed near the intersection of Highway 1 and Stoney Trail, east of Calgary, at approximately 3:50 p.m. on Wednesday, Environment Canada has confirmed. Thankfully no damage was reported.

The tornado was captured on camera by YouTuber Shawna Moseley, whose husband Sherwin pulled over to film the twister on his way home.
