Alberta teacher featured on Jimmy Kimmel after viral video

A kindergarten teacher in southern Alberta has garnered fans in Hollywood, with late-night host Jimmy Kimmel praising the instructor thanks to a viral video.
Mackenzie Gill teaches at Medicine Hat’s Ecole St. John Paul II School and grabbed the attention of Kimmel and his show due to a video she made with her students.
In the video, Gill is seated facing the camera with her students lined up behind her, each simply saying “Hi, Miss Gill.” Gill then has to guess which student is behind her based on their voice.
“This is fun, she did a cute thing,” Kimmel stated, introducing the clip to viewers, before he did his own version of the clip by sitting at his late-night desk and trying to identify his staffers using only the sound of their voices.

Kimmel failed to identify his own staff in the clip, including his own son, Kevin, who is a television production assistant.
Gill has received some high praise for her career, too. She was an Edwin Parr Award nominee for the Medicine Hat Catholic Board of Education, an award that recognizes outstanding first-year teachers who have demonstrated excellence in the Teaching Quality. Standard.
