Rugged Alberta hotel ranks among the most romantic in the world
If you’re looking for a romantic getaway, you won’t have to go far; an Alberta hotel just made a list of the most romantic hotels in the world.
The ranking comes from Enjoy Travel, which compiled a list of the 50 most romantic hotels in the world, and the Fairmont Banff Springs found itself in 14th place.
“Found in the centre of Banff National Park (an UNESCO World Heritage Site) in Alberta, Canada, the Fairmont Banff Springs is one of the most iconic and romantic hotels in the world,” the ranking states.
It highlighted Banff’s wide range of activities. From hiking trails in the summer to snow sports in the winter, there are tons of ways to enjoy the region all year round.

The Fairmont Banff Springs has a ton to offer, including its massive spa, which has many amenities like three waterfall plunge pools, an indoor mineral pool, an outdoor heated pool, steam rooms, saunas, and more. It’s the perfect place for a romantic outing.
If you’re visiting in the summer months, the hotel even has its own 27-hole golf course, offering a unique experience of golfing right in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. It also offers a stay-and-play vacation package, perfect for anyone looking to enjoy the hotel and get some time on the course.
If you’re planning on visiting in the winter, you can still find tons of fun activities like skiing and snowboarding. The hotel is close to all three of the major ski resorts in the area: Banff Sunshine Village, Lake Louise Ski Resort, and Mount Norquay, making it a great spot to rest before hitting the slopes.
Fairmont Banff Springs was the only Canadian hotel to make the list. Soneva Jani in the Maldives took the top spot, followed by the Chalet Al Foss in Italy and Maison Souquet in France, in second and third place, respectively.
