Relive summer camp memories at an adults-only cabin party this spring

Now this is how you celebrate a brand new season!

This spring is arriving in style with a throwback to the lakeside days of summer camp — yes, even for those of us who may think we’re a little too old for bunk beds, smores, and awesome activities.

Cabin Party is a two-day, adults-only event being held to raise money for Survive and Thrive — a program that helps young adult cancer survivors live their best lives — and will take place this April. The event is expected to feature a wide variety of epic adventures, delicious drinks, and not a single whining kid in sight!

Activities at Camp Kindle (cabinparty.ca)

Signing up with run you $150 (though booze and gambling is extra), with proceeds going directly to the cancer survivors.

Cabin Party will be held at Camp Kindle, which is located one and a half hours northwest of Calgary. The camp features flushable toilets, sky-high activities, and the opportunity to bunk with either your buddies or some soon-to-be-friends!

Possible activities include a high ropes course, the craft cabin, a 100-foot swing, a nature hike, group games, ziplining, extreme bocce, catapults, archery, dodgeball, yoga, a climbing wall, and a bonfire.

When you register in the morning you’ll sign up for three activities, though there are also a few that everyone will be able to participate in.

Saturday, April 13
9-10 am – Registration
10-10:30 am – Opening Ceremonies
10:30 am-12:30 pm – Activity Block 1
Noon-1:30 pm – Lunch
1:30-3:30 pm – Activity Block 2
3:30- 5:30 pm – Activity Block 3
6-7 pm – Dinner
7-7:30 pm – S&T Cancer Programs Pres.
7:30 pm – Free time/BINGO/Camp Fire
7:45-8:30 pm – Get Nerdy with Mike – Learn about the Science Behind S&T’s Programs
9 pm – Late Night Cabin Party/Camp Fire

Sunday, April 14
7:30-8:30 am – Yoga
8-9:30 am – Breakfast
9:30 am – Closing Group Activity
10 am – Pack up and Take off…

Tickets can be purchased by heading over to Cabin Party’s website — just be sure to bring a few bills along with you, as all drinks, raffle, and BINGO will be cash only!
