BREAKING: Abbeydale suspect found dead, shelter warning no longer in place

An update from the Calgary Police Service has stated that the firearm situation in Calgary’s Abbeydale neighbourhood has ended.

The release states that the deceased body of the suspect has been located, and that no other suspects are currently being sought by police.

Citizens who had been taking shelter during the situation are no longer required to, according to the CPS.

Police confirmed that a male member of the CPS was shot in the incident, though is currently in stable condition at a hospital.
