The 2020 Calgary Folk Music Festival has been cancelled.

A release from organizers states that the festival has been called off due to the threat of the ongoing pandemic, which has caused physical distancing measured to be put in place around the world.

Those who have already purchased a ticket to the 2020 festival can request a full refund or donate it for a tax receipt, the release states.

The announcement comes on the heels of news that the 2020 Calgary Stampede has also been cancelled for similar reasons.
