The Calgary Stampede 50/50 grand prize is already well over $1 million, and there’s still a chance to throw your cowboy hat into the ring.
According to a release from the Calgary Stampede on Thursday, July 11, the jackpot had reached over $1.2 million by the halfway mark of this year’s festivities.

A new format for the 2019 Stampede changed up the way that the 50/50 would be played, with daily draws for every day of the festivities that sees ten winners taking away a Stampede Prize package valued at $1,000.
All ten winners will then attend a live showdown draw for the winning cut of a jackpot totalling up to $2.5 million.
The other 50% of the 50/50 funds will go towards local charities and community outreach programs.
“The continued support of the Stampede Lotteries and unwavering dedication of our volunteers is inspiring,” said Edward Gordon, chair of the Calgary Stampede Lotteries committee, in an earlier release.
“It is because of them that the Calgary Stampede Lotteries is able to continue changing lives and create positive experiences in the community. They prove time and time again why We’re Greatest Together.”
The final draw is expected to take place this Sunday, July 14… meaning that there’s still plenty of time to grab yourself a ticket!
