Calgary’s newest mural may also be its biggest.

Deerfoot City has just unveiled a 200-ft-long street mural as part of #YYCBlockParty, a community space where Calgarians can (safely) gather within the 1,100,000-square-foot outdoor shopping centre.

The street doubles as an outdoor patio, and the entire project was in collaboration with five local artists, according to a release from Destination Deerfoot City.

ā€œDestination Deerfoot City is excited to collaborate with local artists Leetia Lyons, Rachel Ziriada and Mikhail Miller of NASARIMA, Rhys Farrell, and Sydonne Warren to bring this project to life,” said Debora Mathais, General Manager, in the release.

“These five artists exemplify the mission of Destination Deerfoot City — continuously working to create a more vibrant and lively city for all Calgarians to enjoy — and we can’t wait to unveil #YYCBlockParty together!ā€

Guests are invited to come out and see the mural, spend time on the patio, shop at The Boulevard, among many other activities available within the space.
