Watch the Capilano River rush 70 metres beneath you as you walk over the 137-metre-long bridge. Check out the beautiful sights of the rainforest and climb through old-growth fir trees as you take in the views of the Canyon with the new Cliffwalk. We just hope you’re not scared of heights.

Vancouver Aquarium

There are over 50,000 creatures to see at the Aquarium. When was the last time you got to hold a starfish, see real life sea lions, sharks, and penguins, or even witness the fascinatingly slow pace of a sloth? Did we mention there are actual piranhas?

If you have a little one to entertain, this is definitely the place to do it. But The Aquarium is for adults too. Thanks to its recent renovation, the iconic Vancouver attraction is now more awesome than ever with the addition of a 4D movie theatre, café and coffee bar, courtyard, and more. 

Grouse Mountain

Yet to go to Grouse? As if the panoramic vista of the city wasn’t incredible enough, you can also ski, snowshoe, and see a Grizzly bear in real life (unless they’re hibernating in the winter). Sure, they’re in an enclosed area, but we don’t think you’d prefer the alternative.

VanDusen Botanical Garden

Did you see Seth Rogan get lost in the hedge maze of VanDusen Gardens recently? If you were as enticed as we were, know that it’s just as fun IRL. 

But the VanDusen Botanical Garden isn’t only home to an awesome Elizabethan hedge maze. The 55-acre gardens situated right in the middle of the city has stunning seasonal displays with over 7,500 species of plants. 

Whether you’re looking to show some visitors in town some West Coast plant life or snap some photogenic pics for the gram, VanDusen is the place. 

Vancouver Lookout

Gastown’s Vancouver Lookout, in the Harbour Centre, is seriously under-rated. The attraction might be synonymous with tourists and tourists only, but even if you’ve lived here for what seems like an eternity, the spot never fails to wow visitors and locals alike. 

Atop the 553-foot tower, you’ll see incredible 360-degree views of Burrard Inlet, the faraway towers of Burnaby, the mountains of the North Shore, and beaches of Point Grey. 

Go at night to see the twinkling lights of the city, or during a clear day to experience Vancouver through a birds-eye view.
