Monday Night Jazz Series – Brad Turner

  • What: Two time JUNO Award-winner Brad Turner will be joined by the UCalgary Jazz Orchestra.
  • Where: University Theatre – 230 University Court Northwest, University Way NW

Crash Test Comedy

  • What: Stand up comedy at Vern’s on 8th. There are still a few spots open for you to show off your skills. Check out their Facebook page for more details.

Taking Flight: Festival of Student Work

  • What: The School of Creative and Performing Arts is displaying work conceived, directed, produced, and performed by graduate and undergraduate students. See a wide range of dramatic material and approaches to theatrical performance.

Canadian Quiz Night

  • What: Head to National on 17th for their first ever Quiz Night! Test out your Canadian Music Trivia skills in honour of the JUNO’s being held in Calgary.

Macbeth

  • What: In an adapted version of Shakespeare’s famously cursed play Macbeth, you’ll experience all the ambition, murder and madness of the original play.

Romeo and Juliet

  • What: The Alberta Ballet pairs up with the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra to capture the tragic tale of Shakespeare’s starcrossed renaissance lovers with astonishing grace and heartbreaking intimacy.

Taste of Bragg Creek 2016

  • What: A collection of restaurateurs, and food and wine merchants, will put their best dishes on display on one evening to create and share delectable and unique local foods.

Calgary Hitmen vs Red Deer Rebels

  • What: Follow the Hitmen through the WHL playoffs.

Fresh Notes Festival

  • What: This is the second year that Fresh Notes is back in Calgary. Canada’s funniest musical comedians are coming together and collaborating with Improv groups from the city.

Calgary International Salsa Congress

  • What: Watch a theatre-style production featuring some of the best salsa dancers in the world, local professionals, preformers from all over North America. There are also dance workshops available to sign up for.
