A new Vancouver Island resort was named one of the world’s best for 2025.
Naturally Pacific Resort, located at 700 Petersen Rd. in Campbell River on the East Coast of Vancouver Island, was named to Travel + Leisure‘s 2025 “It List.”
The list is for the 100 best new hotels of 2025 from around the globe that opened last year.

Some of the reasons the Vancouver Island resort made the list include its decor, the nature and wilderness around it, and some of the amenities inside the resort, including an apiary and orchard that supply the hotel’s restaurant.
“But perhaps the most memorable feature was the option to decline housekeeping and, instead, purchase one square meter of protected rainforest in my name through the resort’s partner, Wilderness International,” Travel + Leisure says.
It’s also cheaper than other resort accommodations, as the travel publication points out that doubles start at $179 plus tax.
Naturally Pacific’s owner, Amanda Mailman, is celebrating the news.
“We’re incredibly proud to be named to the Travel + Leisure It List,” she said.
“This recognition reflects the heart and vision behind Naturally Pacific Resort — to create a place where elegance and nature live in harmony, and every guest feels the magic of the West Coast.”

Some notable amenities at the resort include mineral pools at Immersion Spa & Wellness, dining at Carve Kitchen & Meatery, and the fairways at Campbell River Golf Club.
The area also offers bear-watching tours, whale-watching tours, heli-tours, fishing, mountain biking, and skiing in the winter.
