Vancouver-based YYOGA is gearing up to grow again with the opening of a milestone location this fall.

Canada’s original network of yoga studios recently unveiled franchising opportunities that allow interested entrepreneurs to join as owners.

YYOGA has just announced that they are welcoming their first franchisee partners with a new location opening in Fall 2025 at 3663 West Broadway in Vancouver’s West Point Grey area.

According to CEO and founder Terry McBride, the team is excited for yoga practitioners and enthusiasts to see the first YYOGA location owned by a franchisee.

“We’re thrilled to announce Paula and Derrick as our first partners,” McBride said in a statement. “We couldn’t ask for better people who are more aligned with our mission and more committed to upholding the high-quality yoga experience we’ve become known for.

“It’s rewarding to actively award franchising regions. We’ve met with some incredible people and are looking forward to building on this momentum with future Western Canadian location announcements.”

YYOGA has several Lower Mainland locations that offer classes like hatha, flow, yhot, yin, power, and more.

The new location will also feature amenities such as lockers, mat and towel service, showers, and a tea lounge.

“Our journey with the YYOGA team has been nothing short of inspiring,” said Paula Jerez, West Point Grey owner, in a release. “Their professionalism, responsiveness, and unwavering support have guided us through challenges, and have celebrated every win with us.

“We’re thrilled to become their first franchisees and couldn’t imagine a better partner to align our values and vision with.”

McBride is looking for more inspiring leaders and people passionate about yoga to join the fitness and wellness company.

“Our founding studios opened with the intention of making the world a better place,” said McBride in a statement online. “With the help of some incredible partners, we set out to create places for our guests to disconnect, go inward and feel like they belong.

“I’m excited to share that our next chapter includes growth through franchise partnerships as we look to expand our network of studios.”

Building a community is part of the ethos of YYOGA, which has served over 405,000 people and hosted nearly 500,000 classes so far. The company has also supported over 8.5 million visits during its 17-year history.

According to YYOGA, its model includes “guidance and strategies representing all areas including site selection, build-out and construction, operations, marketing, programming, teacher recruitment, IT, analytics, and finance.”

Those interested in owning a YYOGA can reserve their region and request additional information online before speaking to the franchise development team.
