YVR ranked one of the best international airports in the world

Vancouver International Airport (YVR) has added another international accolade to its sterling resume.
The honour comes from Condé Nast Traveller’s latest look at the best airports in the world, part of the 39th annual Readers’ Choice Awards.
According to CN Traveller, readers cast almost 800,000 votes in the ranking of the planet’s top travel experiences. And YVR wowed jetsetters from around the world to land on the top 10 list.

“Also ranked one of the top airports for accessibility this year, Vancouver International is the gateway to the British Columbia hub’s ski slopes and diverse culinary scene,” said CN Traveller in its write-up for the airport, which landed the ninth spot.
Canada’s second-busiest airport also received shout-outs for its food offerings for visitors.
“Reflecting the city itself are the dining options inside the airport, like YVR’s Japadog on Terminal Level 3 — a celebrated hot dog stand where travellers line up for the Kurobuta Terimayo, or #1, topped with seaweed,” gushed CN Traveller.
“Beyond the worthy snacking scene, the airport also recently boosted its connections to the southern United States for increased service to Nashville, Tampa, and Raleigh airports during the summer months.”

YVR celebrated their accolade with a post on social media.
“We’re proud to be named among the top 10 best international airports by @cntraveler Readers’ Choice Awards.
“The ranking is based on ratings from almost 800,000 reader survey responses about their travel experiences. Thank you @cntraveler and our passengers for the recognition.”
The airport is joined on the list by travel destinations like Singapore Changi Airport, Zurich Airport, and Dubai International Airport.
