Find and grow your passion at this massive volunteer fair

Sep 23 2019, 10:40 pm

Youth Transforming Society is giving high school and university students a chance to find and grow their passion (and resume!) through volunteering.

The local, non-profit organization is hosting its sixth annual Volunteering and Beyond event.

Taking place on Thursday, September 26, the massive volunteer fair will be held at the Princess Margaret Secondary School in Surrey from 5:30 to 7:30 pm.

The free-to-attend event features more than 50 different organizations in a handful of different sectors and last year, hundreds of people attended.

Students will have a chance to learn about different organizations and initiatives that relate to their own passions and interests. If they find something that speaks to them, they can register to volunteer for the organization at the event.

The end goal is that after attending Volunteering and Beyond, students will feel less overwhelmed and more inspired to volunteer. Not only is the experience a great way to discover and figure out what your passion is, but it looks great on a resume too.
