Young man stabbed near Richmond library

Richmond RCMP are investigating a stabbing incident that occurred near the Richmond Public Library at Minoru Boulevard and Granville Avenue.

At approximately 2 p.m. on Tuesday, police officers responded to reports of an altercation in the area, where they discovered a young man with serious stab wounds.

The victim was rushed to Richmond Hospital, which is fortunately located just one block away on the other side of Minoru Park. However, he remains in critical condition.

Police do not have a description of the suspect but are examining CCTV footage from the area and other leads.

The investigation is in its early stages – few details are available at this time. Police dog units and forensic identification teams are assisting in the investigation.
