Young cyclist killed in Surrey crash

RCMP are investigating the death of a cyclist following a serious collision in Surrey.

The incident occurred at approximately 10 p.m on Monday at the intersection of 152nd Street and 86th Avenue.

A cyclist in the area crossed into the intersection and into the path of a vehicle. The impact with the vehicle threw the cyclist from the bicycle, killing him at the scene.

The deceased man is in his mid-20s, but he has not been identified as he did not have any identification with him.

An 18-year-old male driver and his passenger were both taken to hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Anyone who may have witnessed the crash is asked to contact Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502.
