You Gotta Eat Here: 4 Vancouver restaurants featured in show's 5th season
He’s back! A fresh new season of Food Network’s ode to the best in local eating, “You Gotta Eat Here,” fires up on February 26, and Vancouverites will be delighted to see at least four new foodie favourites featured on the show.
Host John Catucci has taken his signature fork from his plaid shirt pocket in the pursuit of crowd-pleasing deliciousness. So far this season, the series has shot episodes showcasing the creative circular delights served up at Cartems Donuterie, the southern-inspired brunch and epic burgers at The Buckstop on Denman, burgers that satisfy primal souls at the Cannibal Café‘s original Commercial Drive location, and the sweet and savoury goodies at East Vancouver’s Panaderia Latina Bakery.

It’s possible Catucci will be seen getting acquainted with the eats, chefs, owners, and loyal customers of more Vancouver eateries for YGEH’s fifth season, however the Food Network folks are keeping tight lipped about the segments yet-to-be done. (Catucci promised he’d get his YGEH crew together to take on Vancity Buzz in a bowling match when we talked to him last year, so they’d better be coming back this year to make good on that promise!)
Among the many Vancouver and Vancouver-area places YGEH has hit up in seasons one through four include Argo Cafe, La Taqueria, Chewies, Via Tevere Pizzeria, DD Mau, Vij’s Rangoli, Fraser Park, Tomahawk BBQ, Lucy’s Eastside Diner, Campagnolo Roma, and Romer’s Burger Bar.
