Together at last: Yoga, brunch, and beer

If you’ve been thinking that what your yoga class needed was a built-in brunch (with beer!) then you might like what’s brewing over at 33 Acres.

The popular brewery and restaurant is launching a Social Yoga program, which features a four-week set of yoga classes, and the price includes your brunch and a beer (or, a coffee, if you’d prefer).

The 90 minute classes will be taught by Vancouver yoga instructor Anita Cheung, who brought the idea to the folks at 33 Acres. The first session will be Sunday, September 14 at 9 a.m., and run the following three consecutive Sundays. 33 Acres says the classes will be in the “flow yoga” style, and aimed to “get you moving, connecting, and digging deep.”

The classes are small–just 12 spaces–and 33 Acres is planning for now to just do the one set of four inaugural classes.

As part of the $100 fee for the four classes, participants can order up waffles or an avocado smash for a little caloric karmic balance after the workout, and a beer or coffee to prime the pump to face the rest of the day. Nom, nom…om!

33 Acres’ Josh Michnik said he thinks their yoga and brunch program “will add the perfect balance a weekend should have; A work-out, being social and a great meal/beer all wrapped into one.”
