Yaletown Grand Prix 2011 Cancelled

Dec 19 2017, 1:01 pm

Update: This event has been cancelled due to a lack of participants.

The 2011 Yaletown Grand Prix is a Vancouver summer tradition for both bike racers and racing fans. This year instead of on July 1st the race will be held on Sunday July 3rd. Once again the historic loading docks of Yaletown will provide an ideal spectator venue with its narrow streets and technical course make for thrilling race action.

This year’s event will host returning Pro Riders Christian Meier and Andrew Pinfold who now both ride for United Health, to mention a few. The racing starts with the Amateur events at 1pm, then continues with the Pro Women at 3:50pm and Pro Men at 4:50pm. Over 10,000 people annually come down to watch this exciting race where riders navigate a challenging downtown course at speeds over 50km/hr.
