Do you remember when podcasts first starting popping up a few years back? Loads of people thought they were just a flash in the technological pan and that they had no lasting power. Those same people likely jumped on the Zune & HDDVD bandwagon. Since podcasts have been around quite a few people have rose to fame off of them. Marc Maron isn’t one of them, but his podcast sure is popular.
Maron’s WTF? Podcast series is a staple in most people’s lives. He raw, honest and hilarious outlook on life and pop culture struck a nerve with the general public and has lead to his popularity skyrocketing. Launched in 2009 the podcast has been mainly recorded in Maron’s garage. He has gotten a slew of comedians, actors, and other celebrities to come on his podcast over the years. Some stand outs for me have been Nick Kroll, Bob Odenkirk, Nick Swardson and the recent one with my guilty pleasure Russell Brand.
Maron is going to be performing in Vancouver at The Rio Theare in East Van. It will be a live taping of the WTF? Podcsat featuring comedy heavyweights Bob Odenkirk and David Cross. You can get tickets to the live taping now HERE.
