Health authority warns of potential coronavirus exposure at Wreck Beach

Vancouver Coastal Health is warning of potential COVID-19 exposure at Wreck Beach on Labour Day.

The VCH Public Exposure webpage was updated today with the new exposure event.

The possible exposure occurred September 7 between 1 pm and 8:30 pm.

“The possible exposures listed on the site are believed to be low risk, but we’re asking anyone who was at Wreck Beach on the specified date and times to self-monitor themselves for symptoms,” said VCH in a statement.

“If you have symptoms related to COVID-19, however mild, please call your family doctor or 8-1-1, seek testing, and then self-isolate. Please call ahead and wear a mask when seeking testing,” noted the health authority.
