Treat your dear old Mum (better not call her old, though), to the most fun she’s had in years. MOM = WOW – The Mother of All Mother’s Day Shows is back, with more Mom-themed LOLs than last year.
This special event will turn her stress wrinkles into laugh lines with every scene as VTS’s players explore every aspect of motherhood through short scenes. Re-visit the moments you and your Mom have been trying to repress with ‘Momvolution — from new Mom to Grandmom.’ Chuckle at how relatable all your favourite tropes are with ‘Movie Moms.’

Bust a gut and some myths with ‘Mom Myths’ (plot twist she follows you on Instagram – yikes). You can even add to the fun by encouraging Mom to share suggestions during the show, as in all VTS shows the plot; characters and action are co-developed with the audience for a unique and completely unscripted show (so for once she’ll know what it’s like to have someone actually listen to her).
On Sunday, May 12, bring all the Moms you know down to The Improv Centre on Granville Island for VTS’s annual Mother’s Day matinee show. Tickets are value-priced at only $25 and include the show PLUS either a glass of House Wine (red or white), or a Henkell piccolo, or a glass of Mission Hill Five Vineyards Rosé, or a non-alcoholic beverage (BTW you can bring your drinks into the theatre during the show).
The Neil Macrae Bar & Lounge will be open at 3:30 pm for pre-show drinks — and if the weather is nice, you can even commemorate with a selfie (are Momfies a thing?) on their patio overlooking the Marina.
